In April of 2011, I will be taking part in Red Deer College's annual Mexico Practicum Tour. One of the stipulations of attending is fundraising for the various programs we will attend.
The trip includes visits to many different non-profit groups, including: Waldorf and Montessori programs, special needs settings, an orphanage, community agencies, and preschool and school aged programs.

How far does your donation go?
$3 will meet a child’s basic needs in an orphanage for one day.
$10 will provide educational supplies for all of the children in a child care centre for one day.
$20 will feed a child lunch for a month through a community kitchen.
$40 will pay school fees for a year for a child at the orphanage.
$50 will provide clothes and footwear for a growing child for one year.
$100 covers breakfast for a month for 40 children in a child care centre.
$200 buys all of the baby supplies needed for one month at a centre.
